The moment Moon and Mars Togethe.r
It was an unusually clear and starry night at Rawalpindi on 11 Nov.
The moment I saw Moon and Mars together I decided to take a picture of the duo. I don't have much experience in planetary imaging. Thanks to the ASIair and my Red Cat with ASI2600mc on EQ5, centring/framing the two wasn't difficult. But taking a picture of the odd combination, one too bright than the other, proved awfully difficult. I tried almost every trick but couldn't succeed. Finally, I decided to capture them separately.
Mars and the stars, including the Moon, were captured in 50 subs of three seconds each. These were stacked in DSS. The Moon was captured by a 50 second video that was stacked in ASIair.
The images were processed in PixInsight. Starnet was used to separate the stars and the planet. The residual shadow of Moon was removed by clonestamp. The
The two images were merged in Photoshop..
