Saima Baloch said that there is no similarity between her character Raju in the film and Alia's role in the 1979 film Maula Jat. Raju's role is completely different, he said that he talked to the writer of the film Nasir Adib about his role. Nasir Adeeb said that this was the only role in the film that was completely different from the 1979 film and was set completely differently. The same character also anchored the climax of the film.
