Most of the illegal drugs are supplied to Pakistan from it's neighboring country, Afghanistan. According to a research conducted, after New York, Karachi is home to the most drug consumers in the world.

Despite the intense punishments, the number of drug users in the country has reached up to 6.7 million while the number of drug addicts is approximately 2 million.

The drug that is used the most is marijuana. Its use is more widespread among young people. Besides marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy are also gaining popularity among the youth of the upper class.

Alcohol, heroin, crystal meth, sleeping pills, cocaine and such as many are also consumed in large amounts. The aforementioned drugs are easily available. One can even order them online and receive them at home.

According to a research, the recreational use of drugs and curiosity are the culprits behind the spread of this awful dependence. Drug addiction is no less than a disease. However, it certainly is curable but the cure requires the willpower of the sickened.
